VIEW ON APPLE PODCASTSThis week on A Podcast About Catholic Things, Eric (The Ambassador of Common Sense) and Dan (The Ambassador of Nonsense) discuss one of the age-old subjects that most podcasters have talked about many times already. But this time, they address a very specific sentiment that the priests and bishops have left with people--and still have yet to answer. Many people who were not directly affected by the priest's abuse, were still felt feeling as if they had been duped into being faithful Catholics--and because of this, hesitate to rejoin God's Holy Church.

VIEW ON APPLE PODCASTSThis week on A Podcast About Catholic Things, Eric and Dan discuss the theory that this is it… the world is about to end--a theory growing in popularity as the Pope betrays more and more faithful Catholics, and the American government seems to be disappearing right before our eyes. VIEW ON APPLE PODCASTSShould Christians (especially Catholics) be more public? This week on A Podcast About Catholic Things, Eric and Dan talk about the obligation of Catholics to show their faces (even their rosaries) to their friends, family, neighbors, and even coworkers. The overall agreement between them is that Catholics must use their freedom of religion or lose it--and that things would not have gotten this bad if we had been more vocal in the 60s, 70s, and 80s. Catholics need to 'take up space.'

VIEW ON APPLE PODCASTSThis week on A Podcast About Catholic Things, Eric and Dan discuss the latest papal encyclical, Fratelli Tutti (Tooty Fruity). Does he at all understand capitalism and its purpose? And what about trickle-down economics? The spirit of this encyclical, as with all of Pope Francis's encyclicals, is that it is fundamentally pro-marxist. What is the purpose of 'dialog' and how does this encyclical redefine it? VIEW ON APPLE PODCASTSThis week on A Podcast About Catholic Things, Eric and Dan discuss the legendary Saint Joan of Arc. Her name is often used as an example of feminism, but her role in the French army was not as a woman fighting for equal rights--she was a chaste girl following the orders of God. Her heroic measures ensured the survival of France as a nation, separate from her European neighbors, with strong borders that would survive for centuries.
The intervention God provided may well have protected France from the coming heresies and Catholic persecutions. During this period of history, God seems to have a fondness for the French, and we can see His providence throughout the evolution of France as a nation… possibly the same sort of providence seen in early American history, indicating God's will that US borders remain strong and intact. Eric brings up past podcasts and rehashes the subject of statues of confederate generals and their removal from the public square.
