  • Macro And Micro Evolution… Can Catholics Believe?

This week on A Podcast About Catholic Things, Eric (The Ambassador of Common Sense) and Dan (The Ambassador of Nonsense) talk about evolution: the theory that supposedly challenged God. What is a Catholic required to believe concerning creationism and evolution? Are there arguments against evolution? Is science on the side of Darwin here? What is microevolution and what is macroevolution? Does one type being true mean the other is true as well?

  • Should Catholics Play Sports?

This week on A Podcast About Catholic Things, Eric (The Ambassador of Common Sense) and Dan (The Ambassador of Nonsense) talk about sports, the modern sports culture, sports history, and how a the Catholic church fits into this… or rather, how the Catholic Church ought to fit into this. Some questions stemming from this: how important is 'play' and how important is entertainment?

In current events, News Max is reporting that Pope Francis is dying, but doesn't give any sort of time-line. The US Senate passes a resolution canceling Biden's vaccine/testing mandate. • Does Prayer Get Divvied Up Between Intentions… Thus Diluting The 'Fruit' Of Prayer?

This week on A Podcast About Catholic Things, Eric (The Ambassador of Common Sense) and Dan (The Ambassador of Nonsense) talk about the fruits of prayer, the number of prayer intentions, and whether one effects the other. For example, if a man prays for two things, and offers something up for that, does whatever merit he have get divided between the intentions, like a piece of pie? This is a question that isn't directly answered anywhere in Catholic doctrine, and is rarely even discussed in Catholic theology.

In current events, Pope Francis appoints his vicar general, who outlaws all things traditional in Rome this Easter. 24 nations at COP26 pledge to eliminate gas cars. They also agree to 'fight' climate change. H5N8 continues to spread. Home care workers are fired or resign because of vaccine mandate. European Commission after Portugal for air emissions. Earthquake strikes in Iran, man dies from pole. Biden signs infrastructure bill into law. Russia creates space-junk cloud, dangerous for ISS. Saturn's 83rd moon discovered. Gas prices soar in UK. • Should The Bishops And Pope Deny Public Sinners The Eucharist?

This week on A Podcast About Catholic Things, Eric (The Ambassador of Common Sense) and Dan (The Ambassador of Nonsense) discuss something that has long been the subject of public debate… and yet, there's nothing really TO debate. Canon law is pretty specific and pretty clear on how public sinners ought to be treated in terms of distributing the Eucharist--as well as the Bible and the church fathers. So why does this subject get rehashed every time we get close to elections (or when a pro-death politician pretends to be Catholic?) And why do Catholic bishops (and now a Catholic pope) ignore the rules? This leads, obviously to the discussion of Biden meeting with Pope Francis. And we have more from the 'synod on synodality'… and how all this ties into this week's Gospel reading.

In current events, energy companies in the United Kingdom are collapsing. All American citizens are urged to leave Ethiopia. A human stampede at the Astroworld Music Festival in Houston leaves eight people dead and many more injured. H5N8 continues to be a problem--now in Poland and England. Plans are made to vaccinate children for polio in Afghanistan. Singapore is executing a 'mentally impaired' man for heroin possession. US and China agree to 'combat' climate change.

In the world of nonsense, a woman is threatened with jail for wearing a 'protest costume.' A judge in Ohio rules that hippos are people too. No more 'elf on a shelf.' And a naked man is found trapped in a wall.

This week on A Podcast About Catholic Things, Eric (The Ambassador of Common Sense) and Dan (The Ambassador of Nonsense) discuss what transpired starting in 2020, and how Americans completely fell apart when the plandemic hit. • The Church Will Finally Have a Synod On Synodality

This week on A Podcast About Catholic Things, Eric (The Ambassador of Common Sense) and Dan (The Ambassador of Nonsense) discuss the upcoming Synod on Synodality--truly one of the most idiotic and embarrassing synods in Pope Francis's long gaff-rich reign. The Vatican recently gave us several documents preparing for this synod, and Eric and Dan go through them, pointing out the lack of substance, and the hypocrisy on full display as Pope Francis ridicules and stifles the traditional movement within the church.
