At Ipswich High School, smoking a cigar after graduation has long been a traditional rite of passage. Because the use of tobacco products violates the rules of the Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association, members of the school’s boys lacrosse team celebrated with homemade imitation cigars instead.
