A Quokka in your pocket: The new coin by the Perth Mint
A special edition coin featuring Rottnest's world famous quokka will be released next month as part of it's birthday celebrations.
The Perth Mint is set to produce 30,000 collectable 1 oz silver coins featuring the 'happiest animal on the planet' - with half of them heading overseas.
The Perth Mints GM of Minted Productions, Neil Vance, explained why so many of the coins are heading international and unveiled a country where - surprisingly - the Mint's exports are the most valuable out of everything sent from Australia!
