During a visit to Rome, Patrick and his wife had several soul-touching moments when they visited the Vatican and the Sistine Chappel. He then recognized it was a unique opportunity to conversate with God, and after asking what he should do with his life, he heard a calm voice saying: create.
After winning some awards for his pictures and worked on photojournalism and fashion, Patrick Robinson decided to stop taking pictures, and so he did for 17 years. Until one day, his wife encouraged him to start retaking photographs and posting them on social media. People would feel inspired by his pictures, find hope, and see life differently; then, the voice he heard in Rome made sense. He would start sharing his pictures so people could see the world the way he sees it.
Patrick Robinson is a writer, journalist, songwriter, and photographer. He's been taking pictures since he was 12 and hopes he's starting to get good at it. Patrick is also the owner of Patrick Robinson Media Design; he is passionate about creating new ideas and helping people with creative projects.
In this episode, we had an inspiring conversation about resilience, the imperfect perfection of human beings and what we do, creativity, and the power of recognition. Patrick kindly shared his extraordinary experience in the Vatican, how that experience changed his life, how he sees art, and his work. We also talked about being in dark places and the ways out of it through making ourselves useful.
Tune in and enjoy Patrick's remarkable story of self-improvement, art, and resilience.
