Matt Jacob has an eerily similar story to Sean Entin. He was a practitioner of MMA and ended up having a stroke as a result of damage to the carotid artery from a routine choke hold. Practicing chokes is an everyday occurrence in the MMA world, and having a stroke from the practice is rare. The outlook was grim, but Matt fought through it all and was back to work within ten months. In his own words, Matt says, “I proved them wrong.”
