Stroke is the number five leading cause of death and disability in the US. It is a serious life-threatening medical condition that often doesn’t give any warning. US Army veteran and entrepreneur Mark Vega suffered a major ischemic in June 2015 and a second major ischemic not long after on January 2016. On today’s podcast, he joins Sean Entin and Dr. Adam Del Torto to share his recovery journey – from taking up running marathons to doing volunteer work centered around people in transition.

Stroke is not an exclusively old age thing. Many relatively young people succumb to it, oftentimes unexpectedly. For many young stroke survivors, their lives have basically ended at their prime, and they are forced to retreat into the background and just watch others live theirs. These three stories, however, show us that young stroke victims can not only survive, but thrive in spite of their condition. Whether it is intensive physical therapy for Jim Walsh, high-end robotics therapy for Brad E. Berman, or essential oil therapy for Iris Frey Doolittle, innumerable options exist for these people. The traditional way of working with a stroke is terrible, leaving many stroke survivors unsatisfied with what their doctors recommend. This is the reason the StrokeHacker Facebook group was created. In the first part of this episode, Sean Entin and co-host Taylor Smith are on-site at the Bulletproof Upgrade Labs in Los Angeles, California, showing the oxygen trainer and how it gives 100% oxygenation to the whole body. In the second part of the episode, Sean is joined by Mark Heninger, the President of 11 Amps, Inc. and the man who helped Sean with his journey to creating his comeback visually.
