A-Sides with Jon Chattman

Kyle and Cole from The Unlikely Candidates join us to discuss their new album Panther Island, making music during the pandemic, and playing in front of antelopes.

Morning Parade are no more, breaking up in 2014, but I am so grateful they performed twice on A-Sides when it was on HuffPost.  As I slowly start rolling out original episodes I wanted to post this today.  The lyrics of this song still are "go to's" for me when I'm feeling like shit - sort of how I am today.  The song and this album are special to me, and I'm thankful I got to hear it and see it within steps from where I filmed it.

Jon chats with Richmond indie-pop band, Erin & the Wildfire about their new album Touchy Feely, touring in support of it, and writing during the pandemic.  The band, which consists of Erin Lunsford, Ryan Lipps, Nick Quillen, and Matt Wood, mix pop, funk and indie sensibilities within their sound and dropped a great record for the summer.  Check them out on tour.

A-Sides was an original music series that “aired” on Huffington Post and thisisasides.com for nearly ten years.  All walks of pop life were interviewed by Jon Chattman and countless musicians performed a song or two.  This is V 2.0 so to speak.

The original A-Sides theme written by Blondfire (Bruce and Erica Driscoll). Original episodes to follow.
