In this episode, I talk about something really important, what you should look out for before working for a small business or organization. Using my roommate’s experience, I share how easy it is to fall into situations involving professional bullying, lack of payment, and being taken advantage of… especially when you don’t fully understand what you’re signing up for or when you sign cause of a personal relationship. This is your reminder to always read legal documents carefully and if you can, have a legal practitioner go through them. Your signature isn’t just a formality, it’s consent.

Somewhere in between all the seriousness, I also share a chaotic and funny moment from a trip to Onitsha for Mothering Sunday, including a second-daughter-and-father banter over my outfit. I also touch on the complexity of law questions (because why are they like that?) and relate it to a recent quiz I wrote.
