When you grow in grace and in the knowledge of Him, there will come a day when you’ll be able to lay hold of a living Savior at God’s right hand. Andrew Murray, years ago, wrote, The knowledge of Christ Jesus that we need for conversion does not suffice for growth, for progress, for sanctification, for maturity. We have to lay hold to the living Christ if we’re to grow today. And the only way we can grow is through the Word of God. This is God’s food. He has no other formula. It’s a simple formula, but it’s all important. There must be the Word of God.
