Publisher's Summary:
The undeniable chemistry between food photographer Catherine Kelley and billionaire gourmand William Lambourne has become an unquenchable thirst.
Catherines career in Chicago is taking off and the handsome stormy-eyed stranger who recently rocked her world has become - dare she say it? - her boyfriend. Dating a billionaire whos a god in the bedroom and a virtuoso in the kitchen definitely has its perks. But its the unguarded, tender moments with William that stir Cats heart and reawaken her appetite for love. A weekend trip to Williams vineyard so he can face a painful loss puts their new relationship to the test. Complex and layered, William is at once passionate and sweet, but also prickly and guarded. Hes promised openness, but it becomes immediately clear that Cats version of honesty and his are as different as chardonnay and pinot noir. Its hard to fault William for his secretive ways when Cat knows shes holding back, too. As the attraction between them gets even hotter, Catherine and William must share all of their secrets before their relationship can truly begin. And little does Cat know how dangerous confronting their pasts will be. Book 2 in the Epicurean series.

Does't Work.....for me, at least...
I admit that Book 1 was strong enough to keep me on the line and buy Book 2 in the series....but this is where I make my exit.
To make it through a series, and keep interest in developments and all the details that are necessary...its important to make at least one of the major characters LIKABLE. In the Epicurean series Cat is too stupid to believe. And "William" doesn't have any redeeming characteristics at all. He's flat, one-sided, too simplistic. What is there does not encourage sympathy, empathy, or any other -pathy. Sorry...can't make it through. Uncle.
Love to hate it.
I really liked A Taste Of You, but some of Cats' eccentricities drove me crazy in this book. By this point the relationship was developed enough for her to stop second (third, fourth...) guessing everything William does. She seems to have no concept of what is required of a major business person. She gets mad when he has to go to work; just because she sets her own schedule doesn't mean he can. These immaturities drove me to somewhat dislike the story line. I'm on the fence about whether this one is worth a credit (the first book was), but I'm not quite dissuaded from going on to book three - hopefully there will be some emotional growth on Cats' part. The narration was wonderful; both female and male voices were believable, accents were good and nothing distracted from the story.
What a bitch!!
Don't know why, but this woman is so freaking needy!!!
She's driving me nuts!
Whine whine whine! ThTs all she does.
Tiring, but narration is good
If you like repetitive hysterics, self deprecation, immature insecurity, and repeated drama, then you will love this book. I mildly enjoyed the first book and had hopes that the second book would be better and enough to occupy me for a cross-country drive. It didn't take long for me to realize that the storylinere is just one episode of immature drama after another.
