Kelly Rooney, the daughter of movie star Mickey Rooney, grew up in Hollywood royalty. With her father's eight marriages, Kelly shares stories of meeting some of her siblings later in life. She uncovers the truth, distorted by the media, surrounding her mother's tragic death.

Karen Matsu Greenberg grew up with her adopted sister -- only to discover as an adult that she also has a full sister she had never known existed.

I discuss how I learned later in life about my other siblings, and how this year I finally met the brother who had been kept away from me for decades.

Jeff Heilman shares his story of addiction, incarceration and healing. During his time in prison he discovered Buddhist psychology, mindfulness meditation, and Lakota sweat lodge ceremony. He explains what is involved in the process of building and participating in this very sacred ritual. Jeff talks of obtaining his degree in psychology and how he is helping others heal from trauma and addiction. He shares meeting Lakota man Douglas Widow Junior, and having an equine healing experience with him and his horses. This led to Jeff and Douglas to form a partnership and a non-profit organization called CEDAS: Conscious Effort Awareness Development Services. Jeff explains what it is like to attend and participate in the Sundance Festival held every year.

Douglas Widow Jr., whose Lakota name is Wohpapi, is from the Cheyenne River Sioux tribe. He shares stories from his life, and speaks of success he has had healing people with horses. Douglas has a degree in Substance Abuse, and tells about addicts and many others whose lives were changed after connecting and healing with horses. He shares a Lakota song, and stories of his grandmother and the ghost dance. Douglas speaks of a wealth of Lakota culture -- stories about growing up on the reservation, their practices and their history.

Holly Laskey shares her story of changing her life and following her dream. She takes us to 11,000 feet elevation in the Andes mountains of Peru. Twelve years ago she and Peruvian sound healer Tito la Rosa combed the hillsides, seeking the ideal spot to build a retreat and ceremonial center. Holly describes this journey and the experiences she encountered on the way to building Ancestral Highlands -- working with architects to recreate buildings of the ancient Peruvian time, including the Espejo de Agua reflecting pool for ceremonies led by gifted shamans. Now 75, Holly has completed the magnificent retreat center, where people enjoy magical ceremonies and tranquil hotel lodging amid beautiful mountain views.

Oscar Rodriguez received two double life prison sentences at the age of 17, and spent the next 24 years incarcerated in a maximum security prison.

With help from two visiting Buddhists, Oscar changed the direction of his life, going from former gang member to becoming a college student and a mentor to other incarcerated people.

Oscar shares the astonishing details of how after serving 25 years he was released from his life sentence and set free. Oscar has been a free man for 5 years, developing his own dog training business, and spends time visiting and helping other inmates.
