The Joy of Community, with Rev. Dr. Steven Koski. Series: Where Your Heart's Gladness Meets The World's Needs. A Spacious Christianity, First Presbyterian Church of Bend, Oregon. Scripture: Mark 2.1-12.

In the gospel of Mark, we read the story of a man who was paralyzed and his friends who brought him to Jesus. Jesus was moved by the faith of the friends and proclaimed healing for the man. This story is a reminder that sometimes we need to be carried and sometimes we need to do the carrying. The Joy of Giving, with Rev. Kally Elliott. Series: Where Your Heart's Gladness Meets The World's Needs. A Spacious Christianity, First Presbyterian Church of Bend, Oregon. Scripture: Matthew 9-10.

We are all called to love one another, to be compassionate, and to give of ourselves. It is in giving that we receive true joy. When we go out into the world and love those around us, we are bringing light and hope into their lives. We are making a difference in the world, one act of kindness at a time. Each time we give of ourselves, we open our hearts just a little bit more and allow more love to flow in. The joy of giving is truly a gift that keeps on giving. It blesses both the giver and the receiver, and it is one of the most rewarding things we can do with our lives.
