Introduction

Thankfulness is a tool, an attitude, and an expression. It’s important to remember that thankfulness comes before the fruits of the Spirit. We are called as believers to put forth the effort to be thankful, as it precedes the development of love, joy, peace, and other spiritual fruits.

We will never have the capacity to be thankful until we take our eyes off the things of this world and fix our eyes on Jesus Christ, His kingdom, and the things of heaven to come. Thankfulness comes from faith, knowing that everything bad now will pass and the perfection and glory of Christ is coming. Thankfulness comes first, and the fruits of the Spirit will quickly follow!
