Les Murray was a constant in Australian living rooms for well over three decades. He anchored some of Australian sport's most celebrated (and heartbreaking) moments and introduced a generation of people to a world of sport well beyond what they'd grown up with at school.

In this special episode of A Sporting Discussion, AJ Mithen speaks to Craig Norenbergs about his time working with Les at SBS and the legacy his friend leaves, on and off camera.

If you have a memory of Les Murray you'd like to share, tweet us using @asd_podcast or head to facebook.com/asportingdiscussion.

AJ is flying solo in ASD Stadium but there's two expert guests to help him explore the big issues of the sporting week, namely:

- Delving into Australia's 2017 Super Rugby embarrassment with help from ‎rugby broadcaster,  writer and commentator Brett McKay.

- Why don't NRL players get sent off anymore?  ABC Grandstand's Tim Gore helps us to understand.
