In March of 2007, English Teacher Lindsay Ann Hawker had just finished her shift at a language school in Tokyo when she was approached by a stranger man named Tatsuya Ichihashi. Initially, Ichihashi claimed to be one of Hawker's students, but even when Hawker failed to recognize him, he persisted and followed Hawker all the way back to her home; later even begging Hawker to provide him with private English lessons. Perhaps unfamiliar with the local customs in Japan, Hawker agreed, eventually turning a bizarre encounter with a stranger to something far more deadly.
