You have been called and empowered by God Himself to go and make disciples. When’s the last time you acted on that call? Sadly, for many of us, we’re scared of the consequences. As Pastor Dave continues our study of Acts, he challenges us to step up and testify to the Truth of Christ with the people we encounter in this world.

Can you think of that person? The person who made a profound impact on your faith? Most believers have at least one, if not multiple people who they could list. As Pastor Dave encourages us in today’s message, thank God for those people, and be open and willing to mentor and disciple those who come along after you.

If you’re relying on signs and wonders for affirmation of your relationship with God, then you’ve misplaced your faith. As Pastor Dave explains in today’s message, while miraculous works can draw people to God, these physical manifestations are only a poor reflection of the spiritual work that happens when you trust in Him.

The term “stiff-necked” is used many times throughout Scripture. It isn’t a compliment. As Pastor Dave continues our study of Acts in today’s message, he challenges you to examine your own life and determine if you have grown stubborn and inflexible when it comes to the work of God in your life.

When you read or hear Scripture – are you really listening for God’s voice? If you experience no change in your life, then most likely you aren’t. As Pastor Dave reminds us in today’s message, this Book is alive and if you approach it with an open heart, ready for the Holy Spirit’s work, it will change your life.

Pastor Dave will teach that rituals and the church itself don't save anyone! Salvation is only through FAITH in Jesus – a faith that transforms lives. It's easy for you to deceive yourself with the appearance of Christianity when you know the right things to say and do. However, God is not interested in a religious lifestyle, but in a real relationship with Him.

The Tabernacle was the place where the Lord dwelled. However, it was no easy thing to access Him. His Presence was sealed in the Holy of Holies and Pastor Dave will explain the involved process to enter in. The beautiful thing is that when Jesus died, that veil of separation was torn in half! Through His blood, you now have free access to the Father!

The religious rulers who crucified Jesus and began to persecute His believers were forfeiting their blessings as children of God because they rejected Jesus. Pastor Dave reminds you in this study today that it is only faith in Jesus that makes you set apart and holy – not your lineage. Don’t forfeit your blessings! Trust Jesus as your savior.

In defending himself, Stephen reminded the religious rulers who were persecuting him of their roots. They forgot their bondage, God’s rescue and the amazing miracles of the exodus. They even forgot the Israelites’ continual rejection of Moses. And, as Pastor Dave explains today, they rejected Jesus whom Moses prophesied about.

It’s easy to forget about God and forge ahead in your enthusiasm for doing His work. However, as Pastor Dave will remind you today, the work of the spirit can never be accomplished in the power and wisdom of man. God will delay you as He prepares you for His plan in His time. Only then will you have the empowerment of the Holy spirit for His work.
