A Sure Hope

What is God’s will for us? In today’s message, Pastor Dave reminds us that God’s will for us is to be saved. God abides forever, but this world will pass away. If we want to rest assured of our eternity, then we need to believe in Christ, trust and follow Him, and get to know the one with whom we will spend eternity.

When life seems to be spinning out of control, we can rest assured that God is fully aware of our circumstances. Look to God for guidance during rough times.

People like to complain. We call it righteous indignation. it usually doesn’t change anything, but we like to vent our anger, especially when we are wronged. In today’s message, Pastor Dave suggests we be careful to whom we express our grievances. Sometimes we create a bigger mess by complaining.

We may not always understand why God does things the way He does. In today’s message, Pastor Dave states that we don’t need to always know the reason why, but we are to simply trust. God does not ask us to understand but to trust and believe in Him. We can find great comfort in knowing His love is perfect.

How we deal with our sin is important. Today, Pastor Dave talks about the significance of dealing with our sin. Job was not a perfect man. However, he learned how to deal with his sin. He feared God and made sacrifices for his sin. As Christians, we place our trust in Jesus for our forgiveness because he paid for our sins.

The story of Esther teaches us many lessons about strength and endurance. Esther had to make tough choices that put her life at risk. Today, Pastor Dave reminds us that we need to put our old selves, or our fleshly desires, to death. We cannot move forward until we make the choice to follow God, just like Esther did.

Many people believe that God is a god of love. But, we don't hear as often that justice is also central to God's nature. Scripture teaches us that sin has severe consequences for everyone. Today, Pastor Dave clarifies how God provided us with the only path to avoiding the full consequences of sin through Jesus.

Who in your life can you think of needs a light? More specifically, who needs the light of Jesus? As Pastor Dave said, Jesus gave you a compliment, and a challenge… go be that light! In today’s message, you’ll learn how important it is to be the light of Christ in a world that so desperately needs it.

That’s a tough thing to consider. We, as humans, love our things… but shouldn’t we love the Lord more? Shouldn’t we be like the disciples and drop everything to follow Him? Today, Pastor Dave will challenge you to think about what lengths you would go to, to spread the Gospel. Are you willing to drop everything?

We know who will be the ultimate victor. The enemy will try to stop God, but there’s no stopping the Almighty! There’s no stopping Him in the end times, and there’s no stopping Him today. As Pastor Dave will teach, when things don’t seem to be going your way, there’s a God who loves you and is working all things for good.
