A Sure Hope

Is God calling you to serve at your local church? Is He calling you to use your gifts at work, at school, or in your neighborhood? Today, Pastor Dave teaches that God has empowered all Christians to serve in specific areas to build up His church and bring people to salvation. What has God called you to do?

When you get a phone call, the first thing you do is look at who’s calling you. That determines whether you answer the call. How do you respond when God calls? Today, Pastor Dave teaches that when God calls, you can either answer His call in obedience or ignore His call in disobedience. What’s God calling you to do today?

Do you recall the last time that God came through in a miraculous way in your life? We all have those “God-stories” that don’t make sense, other than attributing the glory to God. Pastor Dave reminds you today to not lose sight of those moments when God showed Himself faithful. He’ll do it again too!

Have you ever underestimated God’s ability to come through for you in a situation? That mountain in front of you seems humanly impossible to overcome, but thankfully, you know a God who does the impossible. Today, Pastor Dave encourages you to believe God for big things…because He is a BIG God!

When it comes down to it, there’s a decision that only you can make. You can’t rely on others to make that important life-altering decision. Only you can choose Jesus or not. Today, Pastor Dave talks about choosing faith, choosing Jesus as your Savior, and what that entails for an eternity with Him!

If you’re looking to the world to fulfill all your dreams and goals, you’ll soon find yourself feeling empty and void of any purpose at all. Today, Pastor Dave reminds you that God’s promises will be fulfilled, and what He offers is so much more rewarding than anything that the world is throwing in your direction.

Are you trying to do good? It never seems to work out quite right, does it? Today Pastor Dave tells us that we can't do anything without The Holy Spirit. We try, but without Him, we fail. We're supposed to follow The Holy Spirit, not lead Him. Let's wait until The Holy Spirit takes the first step and then simply follow His lead.

Has God called you to do something for Him? The hardest thing to do when God calls is to wait on Him. Pastor Dave reminds us today that it's His work and not our work. Our natural tendency is to attempt to complete God’s work in our own strength. But that usually fails. Let's step out of the way and let God do His own work.

Did you know that you're mortal? Or don't you want to think about that right now? Today, Pastor Dave encourages us to think about where we’ll spend eternity. Our stuff won't help us. Our friends won't help us. Even our good deeds won't help us. Let's embrace the only one who can help us when we die...Jesus Christ.

What’ll happen to you after you die? Are you ignoring this question? Pastor Dave points out today the danger of side-stepping this issue. There's a 100% chance that we’ll die. None of us knows when. It may be today. It may be next week. Let's secure our place in Heaven by calling out to Jesus today.
