There are many founding fathers of our faith whose stories are written all throughout Scripture. Today, Pastor Dave shares that the reason why they were able to be bold is that they had the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit gave them courage when they needed it most. God promises that when we receive Him we receive the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit will help you make decisions through Christ and comforts you in times of distress.

This means that if you are a believer, you should be sharing the gospel as if tomorrow is your last day. How can you be ready for the Lord’s return?

We can't give up the fight against our flesh; as soon as we make the choice to let sin go unchecked, we guarantee a boatload of issues further down the line. God created joy and He desires His Children to experience it. That didn’t start with Jesus' birth, God’s been providing joy for those who trust Him since the beginning of it all. As Pastor Dave will encourage us today, when we come to our God in repentance and accept His redeeming love, we can also find deep joy.

There are likely people you’d be happy to see face judgment. Whether it’s their particular brand of sin, or that they’ve hurt you or the people you care about in some way, you’d prefer that they get what they deserve. But, today Pastor Dave will remind us that God sees those people with grace and compassion.

Pride always brings you and the people around you down. It never edifies or builds you or anyone else up. In today’s message, Pastor Dave will exhort us to do away with our pride. We need to look at each other with the same grace and compassion our Savior demonstrated for us in our sins.

Pride is a real struggle for all of us. As Pastor Dave will point out in today’s message, it can easily masquerade in the shape of self-protection or self-care. If something creates an inconvenience or causes us discomfort, instead of seeing an opportunity to serve, we lash out and misrepresent our Savior.
