A Sure Hope

Are you pursuing God with all your heart? If you are, as Pastor Dave said, blessings from God will follow. But if you’re not, then there’s no better time than now to start. And in pursuing and chasing after God you’ll find that He desires to pour out blessings in every aspect of your life.

Most of us have experienced being in a dark time in our life. We try our hardest to pull ourselves out of its clutches, but often we can’t find a way out. Today, Pastor Dave explains that the only way to break free from darkness is to follow Jesus. If you rely on yourself to get out, you’ll never find the serenity you’re looking for.

We cherish our freedom to choose. We love the liberty to make decisions for ourselves and we love to be right, even when it hurts us. Today, Pastor Dave wants you to know that you need to put your faith in Jesus if you want to change the things in your life that you hate. Jesus wants to help you to be the best person you can be.

Doesn’t it feel great to be right? Unfortunately, we all know that this isn’t possible all the time. None of us are perfect and we can’t be right all the time. Today, Pastor Dave explains that you need to stop trying to be perfect and let God lead your life. Put your Faith in God and know that every decision He makes for you is perfect.

Have ever you wondered if you’re truly living out “you’re calling?” Today, Pastor Dave wants you to know that if you want to do what you’re truly meant to do, you need to put your trust in Jesus. Even when you’re doing things that seem perfect and right, you will never know if it’s meant to be your purpose without God.

Are there aspects of your life that are ugly? King Hezekiah understood that we must accept our sin for what it is...SIN. Nothing else. It's only through the shed blood of Jesus that wipes our slates clean...sacrifice. Because HE DID a work within us, we worship. Today Pastor Dave talks about the order of the house of God.

What happened to this place? It's a disaster! I wonder what it looked like before. That place could very well be a picture of my heart. My body. Before accepting Jesus. And now, it's this place where the Lord can live and change my life. King Hezekiah knew that gathering together to praise God was critical as Pastor Dave explains today.

As we learn from Pastor Dave today there were good and bad kings that reigned in Judah. One, in particular, did what he thought was best. He was persuaded by lies and things that were plain wrong. This brought the nation to its knees. Friends, what's taking control of your life? Are you remaining faithful to Jesus?

The saying the apple doesn't fall far from the tree doesn't really apply to Uzziah and Jotham, two kings of Judah. Pastor Dave shares with us today that one fell because of pride and one was a great builder and warrior, even though he faltered along the way. Friends, God's unlimited in His capability. Will you trust and obey Him?

Have you ever done a “half-baked” job, and had it backfire on you? It almost seemed like just a waste of time, since the job didn’t get done, right? In today’s message, Pastor Dave compares that to our faith. There’s no such thing as being “sort of” faithful to God! It’s either a full commitment or a waste of time!
