Living like Jesus should be a huge focus in your life. He died for you to have eternal life in Heaven with God, and as Pastor Dave is going to point out today, He just asks that you do God’s will and walk like Him. People should be able to see you’re a child of God by your love for everyone around you. Jesus showed perfect love for you by dying on a cross for your sins so you can be free from them once and for all. Today, as you look at that sacrifice with Pastor Dave, he’s going to encourage you to show other people around you love that’s unconditional, just like the love Jesus showed you before when you didn’t deserve it.

The penalty for sin is death and separation from God. But, Jesus came to die for your sins so you don’t have to be a slave to it or suffer from it anymore. As Pastor Dave tells you about Jesus’ sacrifice for you, you’ll get to be encouraged to walk in the light of God’s Word, and experience the joy that comes from it.

When you give your life to Jesus, He wants you to give up your old ways of sin to follow His ways. Pastor Dave is going to show you today that Jesus didn’t die for you to continue sinning as you used to before Jesus. He wants you to live a holy life, set apart from the world, focused on knowing Him more each day.

To know real truth about Jesus and to experience full joy in knowing Him, spend time in God’s Word. Know Him intimately. Do what His Word says. Pastor Dave is going to show you today that John pointed out this simple truth over and over because it’s such an important truth. Living for God brings great joy.
