Amidst an epidemic of anxiety, Jesus, the Son of David is here today with the same offer He gave His first disciples during their anxious days: Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give you. So don’t let your hearts be troubled or afraid.   There is a peace that the world attempts to give – it comes through ramping up our efforts to control, to fix all our circumstances, to take matters into our own hands – and there is peace that Jesus gives – it is the opposite of the spirit of control, it is more like surrender, it is more like worship.
