At the outset wishing all my fellow Indians a very Happy Independence Day! Today we are independent, we are the world's largest democracy and we are proud of this wonderful nation of which we are all an integral part of. But today is also the day when we must think if we are truly independent, are we independent in our thoughts, are we independent in our conduct, are we truly free from all the shackles as we think we are, let's not just send patriotic messages on this one day and forget about it the next morning, Independence did not come easy, we had to pay a huge price for it, but do we even value it anymore? do we even know what the true meaning of independence is? the answer in most of the cases will be No! So today's episode of A Talks talks about the challenges, the changing times and what is ultimately expected of us to be truly independent in facing the challenges with which we are faced today.

Sometimes you just have nothing to talk, but talking is important, so we talk...

confused? well, just tune in to know more!

Today there was absolutely no plan to do an episode but sometimes something comes to your mind or you come across something that makes you think about the things that are happening around you, and then you feel the need to speak up about that. Today's episode talks about our health workers, people who haven't been at home even when all of us have been staying at home to save our lives, these are the people who still go out every day, they assist doctors, nurses, clean the streets, clean our homes, come to work even after strict guidelines, help people fight disease, death and apathy. I believe these are our true heroes, our true saviors, so while I watched a TV debate today where people were throwing mud at each other and fighting amongst themselves which is usually a feature of such debates, someone was shown screaming, shouting, blaming and terrorizing these health workers, who I believe are doing their best to help our society and we as individuals to survive these times of extreme crisis. I felt i should talk about them and show my respect, love and admiration towards them. After all, this is what our saints, our learned people, our gods and our faith has taught us, even if you are a non believer, this is what humanity teaches us, and I have full faith that humanity and human values shall prevail.

I hope we are all enjoying the rains that brought upon us some much needed respite from the heat, but are we really enjoying ourselves in today's time? can we really enjoy ourselves in this time? i think no, what e need to focus on is that we must try and cherish the small happy moments that life brings us but we must never stop being careful, we always need to be on constant vigil following the new developments around us.

The going has been tough, so now is the time for the tough to get going!

Recent events around us have taken a toll on our lives both physically and mentally, our mental health has suffered and we all need to relax ourselves, negativity is everywhere, and i believe this is the time to focus on the little positive things around us, the small things that bring or can bring happiness to our lives, just hang in there dear listener, and everything is gonna be alright!

Also, this episode marks the beginning of a news series of episodes called #Minis, wherein the episodes will be kept short and to the point, this will act as just a means of communicating those little things which can go a long way in someone's life to make them feel better, these can be small discussions, notes of positivity, means of warning or just anything or everything, I sincerely hope you will enjoy these as you have enjoyed the other episodes till date
