My friends, you, and I probably struggle with loneliness at some point in our lives. It may be true when someone we love dies, or when we are going through some difficulty and feeling misunderstood by almost everyone who matters to us. We feel utterly alone, and nobody seems to be there for us. Today’s gospel episode is tremendously soothing and comforting, arousing the feeling that we are never alone in our sorrows. Jesus is always there for us. He can read our minds and knows too well what’s in our hearts. He is our brother, our friend, our comforter! All we need to do is to renew our faith in Jesus.
