Jadakiss, Styles P, and Sheek Louch of The LOX and Jim Jones, Cam’ron, Juelz Santana, and Freekey Zekey of Dipset faced off in a hectic, high energy, and “chippy” Verzuz battle on Tuesday night at Madison Square Garden’s Hulu Theater in New York City.  The battle started off with an introduction from announcer Bruce Buffer and featured plenty of trash talking and back forth between the two groups. Despite being tense throughout the battle, the two crews expressed that it was all love between them and shared hugs.  This won’t be the last time the two collectives will share the same stage. The LOX announced that the iconic New York groups will also be heading on tour during a chat with Angie Martinez on Power 105.1. The joint tour is set to kick off in September. Cam’ron also plugged the tour during the Verzuz battle.

Simone Arianne Biles (born March 14, 1997) is an American artistic gymnast. With a combined total of 31 Olympic and World Championship medals, Biles is the most decorated American gymnast and is one of the greatest and most dominant gymnasts of all time.  At the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Biles won individual gold medals in all-around, vault, and floor; bronze in balance beam; and gold as part of the United States team, dubbed the "Final Five". Following further medical evaluation on July 30, she also withdrew from the vault and uneven bars finals, both scheduled for the first day of individual event finals.  Biles said that she experienced "the twisties", a psychological phenomenon causing a gymnast to lose air awareness while performing twisting elements.

A Louisiana father was allegedly shot and killed by a teenager who was sneaking into his home to see his 14-year-old daughter.  Dezmon Hamilton, 34, confronted the 17-year-old boy — whom PEOPLE is not identifying because he is a minor — around 8 a.m. on Sunday, after he believed the teen was breaking into his home, police told WBRZ.  Officers believe that the suspect used a ladder to enter a second story window of the home in Zachary, La. Police Chief David McDavid said on Monday that the teen was at the home to see Hamilton's 14-year-old daughter.  When Hamilton discovered the teen in the house, the girl's mother and grandmother took the 14-year-old into another room to talk with her. While Hamilton attempted to bring the boy downstairs to speak with him, an argument ensued. Both Hamilton and the suspect were armed and shot at each other. Authorities say that it's unclear who fired first.
