A Transforming Word

What are you afraid of? Everyone has something they are afraid of, but what about in life, do you fear your financial situation, is there an area you should step into but you are afraid to? In today’s message, Pastor Bill reminds you that the reason you fear is because you don’t have faith. That doesn’t mean you have no faith, just that you struggle with it in certain areas or situations. Remember you have an all-knowing, powerful, and loving God, trust Him and that will build your faith.

How do you react when faced with an adverse or dangerous situation? Many people cower and back away from a potentially dangerous interaction. In today’s message, Pastor Bill explains how the Bible doesn’t look at those people favorably, instead, it celebrates the ones that stood up to threats of adversity and danger. You have to know when to step back to avoid harm, but as a follower of Christ you have to remember that your God is bigger than anything you will face, so stand tall and know He is with you.

Have you ever met someone whose personality seemed to change depending on what environment they were in? Maybe you change how you act in different situations under the guise of adapting. In today’s message, Pastor Bill warns you to be consistent in your words and actions. You can’t act one way in one situation, i.e. church, and the opposite in another, i.e. at home. Non-believers, and more importantly, your children are watching and listening to you act like a Christian at church but nowhere else.

What are you living for? Are you living for the weekend, a vacation, or just getting off work? Maybe you’re living for thrills or your enjoyment. In today’s message, Pastor Bill challenges you to live for more than just getting through the day or the next hit of happiness. Set your eyes on something greater than just your pleasure or complacency. As a follower of Christ, you are meant for more than you could ever imagine, sometimes that means setting aside your fleeting pleasures for purpose.

In a race or other competition, you can usually tell which athletes really want to win by how they train. Most people will tell you they want to win, but how they prepare tells you otherwise. In today’s message, Pastor Bill challenges you to train spiritually like you want to win. Like an athlete trying to win, you have to discipline yourself to not live like the ones just saying they want to win; you can’t just talk about winning, you have to invest in it. To the ones on the outside, this may look like you’re suffering, but you’re sacrificing!

God’s Great Commission is your permission to go out into the world sharing The Gospel! Pastor Bill teaches in today’s message the necessity of evangelism. As a disciple of Jesus, you are His hands and feet within the world. His Spirit resides with you giving you the strength and empowerment to share Jesus with others. Pastor Bill encourages you to be bold in your faith. Know that God is always with you and will provide you with what you need at the moment. Go shine your light for Christ!

Are you serving your local church for the right reasons? In today’s message from Pastor Bill, he asks you to examine your heart posture before the Lord. Are you serving with a cheerful heart unto Him? Do you find joy and peace during your service? Pastor Bill urges you to seek God in where to serve and how often to serve. You want whatever you do to be done for God’s glory. Make sure you’re serving out of a heart for Him. If it’s for pleasing others or appearances you should re-evaluate your heart.

Do you look to the world, people, or God to fulfill your needs? Pastor Bill shares in today’s message the importance of looking to God to satisfy all of your needs and desires. God is the One who knew you before He laid the foundations of the Earth. Who else would better know your heart or understand what you need than Him? Pastor Bill encourages you to come to the Lord for everything. Trying to find satisfaction in the world will let you down. But when you look to the Lord for help, He will be faithful.

Knowledge and love need to go hand-in-hand! As you learn in today’s message from Pastor Bill, he encourages you to be known for your love. The Bible says that the greatest of the fruits is love. People truly don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care. Pastor Bill reiterates that everything should be seasoned with the love of God. When speaking truth it must be with love. When serving the local church, it should be through God’s love. Let everything you do and say be with love.

The closer you get to Jesus the more humble you become! In today’s message, Pastor Bill explains that the more you pursue God the more you want to be like Him. As you read and study the Bible, you’ll begin to understand how desperately you need a Savior. Pastor Bill jokes that you don’t get closer to God and become cocky! That just doesn’t happen. The more you pursue the Lord, you realize just how much you fall short of His desires and ways. It should lead you to a sweet dependency upon God.
