Effective ministry requires many giftings from many different believers! For many of us, if we took a snapshot of our lives, it would look more like a selfie than any other kind of picture. We build our lives around what works best for us. If you’re a follower of Jesus, He needs to be at the center of your picture. That’s the only way to find lasting peace and meaning in this life.

Who’s wisdom and will are you trusting in? God is all-knowing and all-powerful, yet how often do we question if He really knows what’s best for our lives? As Pastor Bill continues our study in the book of Numbers today, he’ll remind us that God is sovereign and His will is perfect. When you trust in Him for salvation, He calls you to lay down your own will and ambitions to be replaced with His. Even when the way seems impossible or dangerous, you can have confidence He’s with you and will provide.

God does use the people around us to help guide us into His will. But, the enemy also will try to use the people around us to discourage and distract us from God’s will. It requires the help of the Holy Spirit and the study of Scripture to discern God’s good and perfect will for our lives. Today, Pastor Bill will challenge you to devote yourself to seeking God’s will. Practice discernment and seek Godly wisdom when others start telling you what you should or shouldn’t do. God is the ultimate judge - not men.

Which group do you see yourself in? Are you the one always questioning and doubting God’s leading in your life or in others? Or are you amongst the few who stand strong and step forward in God’s calling, even when it seems impossible? In today’s message, Pastor Bill will challenge us to stand with that second group. God’s will doesn’t always seem reasonable or logical - in fact, most of the time it doesn’t make sense to our human minds. But, God can and will equip us when we place our trust in Him.

That’s so true. In today’s age of social media, it’s far too easy to get our theology and doctrine from others, rather than digging into God’s Word for ourselves. Granted… we still manage to get into plenty of messes, but in those messes, the Holy Spirit acts as our beacon… our guiding light, showing us the way out. Pastor Bill teaches in today’s message that when you hone into what the Holy Spirit has to say, you’ll be able to get out of all kinds of sticky situations. Wow, Pastor Bill! That’s a great reminder! We are God’s ambassadors. We are a royal priesthood. We are a chosen people. As Christians, we look different from the world, but we’re supposed to be the bridge that connects the rest of the world to Jesus and be the messengers of the Good News.
