But when we accept Jesus Christ as our Savior, the Holy Spirit enables us to overcome sin... And not only does the Holy Spirit allow us to squelch the sinful things in our lives, but it also helps us to train up the things of God in our lives! These good things are the fruits of our lives with Christ. What's the fruit in your life with Christ?

As followers of Christ, we're all given unique gifts through the Holy Spirit for the building up and edifying of the Body of Christ. When we live into the gifts and talents that God has given us, there's true joy and blessing... And while not all of us have a ministry or a platform yet to use our gifts and talents... We can still use our gifts in small ways! We can go out and do what it is God has called us to, no matter what!

Some people might think you can only speak to God with “thee” and “thou” type of speech but that's not the only way. We can talk to God as if He were a person in the room with us. We can speak honestly and openly to the Lord in all that we experience... But we should never be disrespectful. Complaining is an issue that most people struggle with from childhood on. Today, Pastor Bill invites you to look at how complaining caused lots of problems for the Israelites. And it’s still causing problems for you thousands of years later. You see, when you complain, you’re really telling the Lord that what He’s doing isn’t good enough. This breaks God’s heart and makes Him angry. But you can choose differently. You’ll learn that gratitude and praise are the antidotes to a critical, complaining spirit.

Someone once said that the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results. Well, today, Pastor Bill shares you don’t have to be stuck in that cycle. When you’ve blown it (like we all do at times) you can follow the example of the Israelites and make a marker. For them, these stones reminded them of how they’d messed up. Pastor Bill shares that marking your failures can help you remember them so you don’t repeat the mistakes of your past. You can choose differently.

People are, by nature, self-focused. And, so, from childhood on, you have to learn that you’re not the center of the universe and you should care for the people around you. And that’s exactly what Pastor Bill shares today. When the Israelites were preparing to enter the land that God had promised them, they were to keep a rearguard to protect the weaker people in their camp. And God wants you to do the same. You’ll be challenged to consider how you can have the backs of the more vulnerable people in your life.

Did you know that there’s a battle raging all around you? But this war isn’t over land or money. It’s about unity among God’s people. You see, God’s enemy knows that the quickest way to gain footing is by instigating chaos and ushering in dissension. So, that’s his goal. He wants to fracture the unity that followers of God have because of Jesus. Today, Pastor Bill encourages you to fight back by asking God to show you where this is an issue in your life. Allow Him to change your heart and grow you in unity.

There have probably been times in your life when you wonder if you need your hearing checked where God’s concerned. You just aren’t sure if you’re hearing Him. Well, in today’s message, Pastor Bill shares that God does speak to you. In fact, He wants to guide you through life. Just like the Israelites heard the different trumpet calls and responded with action, God wants you to follow the things He’s leading you to do.
