The most important moment of your life is when you finally give your heart to Jesus and follow Him. But that doesn't mean that you still won't go through hard times. Oftentimes, as Pastor Bill will point out in today's message, Satan will attack you with anything he can that will get you to question God's love. He wants you to be angry at God. No matter what comes, you can still have peace in your soul because you know that you'll be able to go to Heaven someday. You'll get to spend eternity with God in paradise.

The Devil isn't afraid to use anything in his bag of tricks to deceive you. He'll try to get you angry at God. He'll lie to you about God. He'll dangle temptation in front of you. He'll even strike you with difficult times. Sometimes they could be tragic. In today's message, Pastor Bill will explain how Satan can't truly make you turn your back on God. He just tries to make it as likely as possible. The choice you have to make is to follow Satan or follow God. One leads to death and more suffering, and the other to eternal life.

Satan is always on the lookout for someone he thinks he can lead away from God. He'll use everything he can to get you angry at God or to cause you to sin. In today's message, Pastor Bill wants you to know that no matter what Satan causes to go awry in your life, you have a hope for eternity through salvation from your sins. Job remembered God's promises when Satan took everything he had. He still chose to praise God. He still had eternal life, even if the things he lost weren't restored back to him.

Don't blame God when Satan comes along and makes your life difficult. Satan may even make you miserable. But it's not God. It's Satan. He'll do whatever he can to get you to curse God or turn your back on God, just like he did with Job. Today, Pastor Bill will encourage you that God won't let any temptation come over you that's so strong you can't stand up against it. God gives good gifts to His children, and Satan comes along to take them away and cause division. Make sure you know where evil comes from.

Satan has dominion over the world. It may only be for a time, until he's cast into hell with the demons and anyone who chose to follow him, but he has influence over the world today. As evil increases and sinfulness becomes more and more common, don't forget whose fault that is. Today, Pastor Bill will show you an example from Job of how Satan has a hand in what happens on the earth. You need to watch out for lies and false doctrine that teach anything contrary to God's Word, because those are all from the devil.

What is the single most valuable thing in your life? For the most shallow of us, we might answer, “My house, or my 401k.” Others might be a bit more spiritual and say, “My family.” While there’s nothing wrong with either of those answers, those aren’t the most valuable things in your life. The single most valuable thing you have in your life is time…the time God has given you on this earth. So, the question is…what are you doing with your time? Are you spending it on earthly pleasures, or are you using it to grow God’s eternal kingdom?

For some of us, remembering where we came from before we were rescued by Jesus can be a hard exercise. I know for me it is. I lived as a drug addict for many years…miles away from God, not caring about myself or any of the people around me…hopelessly bound in sin. And yet, THAT…THAT awful place…THAT is where Jesus stepped into my life and everything changed. How about you? What’s your story of redemption? Can you remember where you were when Jesus intervened in your life?

We’ve all heard the question before, “When was the last time you saw a U-Haul following behind a hearse?” People make this joke to point out an eternal reality, though. Many times, we live as though this life is the only thing. We amass wealth with little regard for the people in need around us. We think that all our wealth is going to somehow magically go with us when we die, thus the U-Haul question. Pastor Bill reminds us today to live with eternity in mind and share and give in ways that honor God.

Imagine if your life were ONLY filled with God’s blessings? Now, you might think, “That would be amazing!” But, now stop and ask yourself how you would change…meaning, how would you ever know the ways that you ARE NOT pleasing God in your life? The reality is that you wouldn’t. Pastor Bill will remind us today that the blessings of God many times come from our decisions to obey Him. And when we DO NOT obey Him, He lovingly disciplines us for the express purpose of making us more like Him.

There’s no denying it; there’s a direct correlation to the blessing of God and our decisions to obey Him. Now, does that mean that ALL of our blessings and ALL of God’s goodness in our lives is earned by our obedience? Definitely not! There are example after example of God’s COMPLETE, UNMERITED favor and blessing in our lives. But we can’t ignore that obedience is also a pathway for blessing in the lives of those who follow Jesus. Pastor Bill will encourage all of us to walk in obedience because we love Jesus.
