What’s your most prized possession? Is it the car you drive that you worked so hard to be able to afford? Is it your social media account and all the posts with high engagement? How important are your treasures to you? In today’s message, Pastor Bill teaches that God is going to ask you to make sacrifices. Would you be willing to sacrifice that item that you’re thinking of? See, God isn’t just asking for any sacrifice. He’s asking for your best. As Paul teaches, whatever you do, do it to glorify God.

Having faith in Who God is, and what He’s done is essential to wearing any spiritual armor.  If you start to question any of it, your defenses start to crumble, and your armor becomes cracked.  Today, Pastor Bill wants you to know that it all starts with that faith that’s unbending.  If your faith is like that solid steel of a sword or a breastplate, then your heart will be protected from injury and eternal death.  Strengthen your faith so that it’s a strong force, able to fight off doubts, questioning, and anything else.

Think of a rowing team; the sport is grueling and physically exhausting.  You’re a unit, but each person’s rowing is essential to get to the finish line.  If one person quits, your whole team loses out on being the champion.  Today, Pastor Bill reminds you that you may face some difficult opposition in the spiritual battles of life.  You might be so tempted to quit, because it’s hard and discouraging.  But that’s exactly where Satan wants you to be, and he knows that if you quit, you lose the battle.  Stay in the war, and win!

What about you?  Are you on the offensive?  Maybe you’re sitting back, casually letting life happen, finding yourself on the defensive end, when spiritual attacks and opposition come.  But like football, it’s the offensive side of the battle that puts points on the board, which brings about the eventual win.  Pastor Bill urges you today to get into the game, put on that spiritual armor, and be proactive in being ready for what’s coming.  Don’t let the battle take you by surprise.  Take action and overcome the enemy.

Prayer changes a person’s heart toward another.  You might have someone in your life who is a thorn in your side.  They frustrate or irritate you to no end.  But what if you took the time to sit down and pray for that person?  What if you took an in-depth look and realized that that person was hurting and acted out, showing they were asking for help in all the wrong ways?  Today, Pastor Bill encourages you to go a little deeper and to pray for those you may not naturally connect with, for a supernatural result!  

That armor of God requires all the components, not just some.  If you go out to war, and you forget your helmet, there’s a high probability that you’re going to die of a head injury.  What about if you went out to battle barefoot?  You’d last seconds - before being incapable of moving forward.  Today, Pastor Bill is expressing the need for the full armor of God, and that by wearing that protection, you’re stepping out in faith, trusting God will fill in the gaps that you can’t.  But He equips you with His defense.  

God sees every good deed we do, even when it goes unnoticed by others. He understands the intention behind our actions and values our heart of service. And as Pastor Bill will remind you, while people may overlook or misunderstand your efforts, God is always aware. Your good works, done in humility and love, are precious to Him. He sees the sacrifices you make and promises to reward your faithfulness, knowing that your actions honor Him.

Doing everything as unto the Lord means approaching all tasks, big or small, with a heart of worship and obedience to God. Whether at work, school, or in relationships, our actions should reflect His love, excellence, and integrity. It’s about honoring God in every detail of life, knowing that your service is not for human approval but for His glory. When you serve with this mindset, even ordinary tasks become meaningful, bringing you closer to God and fulfilling His purpose for your life.

As young children, we usually cling to our parents; they are our whole world. But then, as time goes on, in our youth, we tend to shift to viewing them as a bother; they’re just always telling us what we can and cannot do. But then, once again, as adults, as we gain perspective, our respect for our parents is greater than before. Today, Pastor Bill relates to you the importance of honoring your parents. No matter what stage of life you’re in, God wants you to honor your parents, and He will bless you as you do.

Although goals may vary, I think it's safe to say that every parent wants the best for their kids. That’s why many parents instill in their kids the importance of hard work and consistency. The problem is that too often we prioritize the wrong things, like sports and academics, while neglecting their spiritual needs. In his message today, Pastor Bill encourages you as parents to prioritize your kids' need for Jesus. Sports and academics are fine, but only Jesus can save you and your kids from hell.
