The Biden administration voted at the UN against a resolution to the nearly 60 year embargo on Cuba. In the first half of the show, we talk with civil rights lawyer Arthur Heitzer this blockade and it’s effects on Cubans today.
For the second part of the show, we look at Biden’s plan to remove all troops from Afghanistan by September 11th. Then we discuss what Post-American Afghanistan may look like with professor of  international relations Rajan Menon.
Arthur Heitzer is a civil rights lawyer based out of Milwaukee. Heitzer is the Cuba Subcommittee Chair for the The National Lawyers Guild
Rajan Menon is the Anne and Bernard Spitzer professor of international relations at the Powell School, City College of New York, and senior research fellow at Columbia University’s Saltzman Institute of War and Peace Studies. He also is a TomDispatch regular.
