HAPPY HALLOWEEN, WITCHES!

Last Halloween I talked about the myths, legends, and pop culture that contributed to the over-all image of the halloween witch, this year we're talking about another aspect of halloween - communicating with the dead. This episode is all about talking to ghosts and spirits, and treading the veil between the worlds in the vein of Victorian spiritualism. I'm talking about the art and history of the halloween seance, a new sketchy herbs and magick rock to help you communicate with the dead, a new Book Review of Shadows featuring The Weiser Book of Occult Detectives, and I even read an excerpt of a spooky victorian tale of a Palmist and supernatural detective.

The very cool old Victrola recording you hear during some of this podcast can be found and downloaded for free at freesound.org
