Episode #94: Growing Pains - "This is Your Life" Release Date: November 7, 2017

The supernatural blur of Halloween is behind us and now Patrick and Kat have to slip back into reality, and the best way to do that is with a dream sequence episode of Growing Pains. It's the one where Ben Seaver (marvelously played by "friend of the show" Jeremy Miller) experiences a weird ass anesthesia dream while having his tonsils removed. Special guest star: Alan Hale Jr.

Plus, racy dialogue courtesy of the Growing Pains staff, Jason Seaver mansplaining everything medical related, and the general creepiness of doing medical related business out of a room connected to the family living room.

We also discuss an alternate reality where Kirk Cameron didn't take a bizarre journey through life. Also, guess who finally watched Strangers Things? Spoiler alert: it was us.

Episode #93: Unsolved Mysteries – "February 22, 1989″ Release Date: October 31, 2017

Patrick and Kat face one of their biggest childhood fears head on and discuss a season one episode of Unsolved Mysteries. You know, the wildly popular series that was hosted by the legendary Robert Stack from 1987 to 2002 and then haphazardly resurrected in 2008 with Dennis Farina filling in for Mr. Stack. Each week Stack's frightful tone delivered a cautionary message to the two of us who believed that around every corner was a murderer or Bigfoot… or an alien!

The first story is focused around a still-to-this-day unsolved bank robbery where the bandits dug beneath the streets of Hollywood to make off with large sums of cash (or possibly floppy disks with government secrets). Think of it as a real life Ocean's Eleven, but instead of George Clooney we get a shaggy haired man trying to break into the late-80s Hollywood scene .

The second mystery focuses around two individuals who nearly died and experienced a strange journey through a dark mystical tunnel towards a welcoming light. What exactly is a Near Death Experience? And, is there really something on the other side of this life?

Then, the final tale involves the murder of a middle aged man from Ohio, which is a real brain scratcher. Was it drug dealers, a crime of passion… or a mob hit?

Plus, Patrick and Kat quickly revisit the Nancy Kerrigan/Tonya Harding scandal of the early 90s. And which famous rapper took home the Grammy Award for the first time hip-hop music was included as a genre in the awards ceremony.

90s heartthrob, Devon Sawa, and his ragtag team of early 2000s Aeropostale-wearing superstars manage to avoid fiery death when the plane they are kicked off mysteriously explodes. However, doom and gloom continues to follow them and picks them off one by one? What could possibly be going on?

Plus, Kat gets a headache watching any Star Wars films, the 20th anniversary of John Denver's death, the conspiracies behind TWA Flight 800, Frankie Muniz's hot dance moves on Dancing with the Stars, Aaliyah, Skecher brand shoes, and a deficit of UFO sightings with modern technology.

Also, Patrick and Kat dream of having lunch with the lovely Laurie Metcalf.

Episode #91: Strait-Jacket (1964) Release Date: October 15, 2017

Warning: This podcast depicts graphic axe murders

In 1964, the stars aligned and allowed Joan Crawford, William Castle, and Robert Bloch to work together on the camp/hag horror classic Strait-Jacket, which tells the tale of Lucy Harbin, axe murderer, who is released into the free world after twenty years rotting away in an insane asylum for the beheading of her hot husband and his mistress. Well, things aren't so peachy when she's released and people are mysteriously turning up dead and headless in the days following her release. Who could it be?

Plus, Patrick and Kat revisit the top five grossing films of 1964, the crazy on-set demands of Joan Crawford during the filming of Strait Jacket, and the mysterious circumstances of actress Joan Blondell walking through a plate glass window and being unable to commit to her role in the film.

Also, will Jared Leto shower now that he'll be portraying Hugh Hefner in a biopic?

Patrick and Kat dip back into the request bag and pull out Route 66, the classic 1960s television series about two bros who drive across the country and butt into people's lives. In this episode, the bros try to help out a sexy blonde who seems to be hated by every person in town for reasons known to the townspeople, but unknown to the viewers. It's a frustrating hour of television, but we made the best of it.
