A Very Special Podcast

This week Patrick and Kat deliver another installment of Here Comes The Boos, a Halloween themed podcast within the podcast; this time around we check in the groovy world of The Brady Bunch. The Brady boys trick the girls into thinking their house is haunted, but then the girls get back at the boys, and then they team up to scare Alice! Oh, and while all this is going on Carol takes up clay sculpting as a hobby.

Plus, why is Carol always acting so batty; is it because she's taking a trip to the Valley of the Dolls. Also, do Mike and Carol attend swinger parties, what are Alice and Sam really up to when they go to the drive in theater, and what the hell is going on behind the walls of Room 222?

Episode #55: Roseanne - "Trick Me Up, Trick Me Down" Original Release Date: September 10, 2016

This week Patrick and Kat temporarily rebrand themselves as Here Comes the Boos, the Halloween themed podcast-within-the-podcast. I know what you're thinking, it's technically still summer; but if Starbucks can sell pumpkin spice lattes already we can pump out Halloween themed episodes this early in September. Plus, we have a ton of stuff we want to cover this year.

Anyway, to kick off Here Comes the Boos, we are heading back to Lanford, IL to check in on the Conner family. This time Roseanne and Dan play a nasty prank on their annoying neighbor Kathy; and Roseanne now lives in fear that Kathy will seek bloody revenge. Does she? Nah, but Dan leads her to believe she did.

Also, we get to the bottom of other fun things that were happening in the fall of 1991 when this was released, such as: Full House moves from Fridays to Tuesday night, Home Improvementpremiers, Vanilla Ice drops his mega-bomb Cool as Ice into a cineplex near you, a pre-Early Edition and Friday Night Lights Kyle Chandler rocks the ABC lineup in some primetime drama called Homefront, and the eastern coast is devastated by The Perfect Storm; which later is developed into a blockbuster film starring George Clooney, who also happens to be in this episode of Roseanne.

This week Patrick and Kat take a trip back to a simpler time when an Oscar winner dressing up in ladies clothing with the goal of attaining cheaper rent was done for laughs. But what happens to your masculinity when it is covered by your feminine side? Find out on a very special episode of Bosom Buddies.

Plus, what happened to Peggy Olson post Mad Men, what does Superman do with his Clark Kent clothes when he's saving the world, and what lengths would you go through to pretend to your boss that you had an identical twin?

Episode #52: Lost - "Exposé" Original Release Date: August 21, 2016

Despite being regarded as one of the worst episodes of Lost, Patrick and Kat decide to tackle the upsettingly shoehorning of everyone's least favorite castaways, Nikki and Paulo, into the wonderful world of Jack Shepard and friends. It was a bumpy road for those murdering diamond thieves and they would have gotten away with it if it wasn't for those pesky medusa spiders.

Plus, would all this mess have been avoided if Jessica Fletcher visited the set of Exposé, missed opportunities for Josh Holloway to yell, "Son of a bitch" in other acting roles, and why is Sawyer's hair so damn well coifed all the time?

Episode #50: The Many Loves of Dobie Gillis - "The Mystic Powers of Maynard G. Krebs" Original Release Date: July 26, 2016

Fifty episodes later and Kat and Patrick are still up to this nonsense and this week it's a listener request episode; shout out to Ryan of Missouri who suggested we watch The Many Loves of Dobie Gillis. On the surface it may be a lighthearted teenage sitcom, but peel off the layers and it's a town plagued with supernatural powers and a rich American aristocrat who is trying to rig the 1960 presidential election.
