A Voice for Men

Your body, but not your choice. If you're a man, this is the current state of play for you when it comes to reproductive rights. Stated simply, you don't have any. What you have is the legal responsibility to not only abide by whatever exercised choices are made by a woman using your gamete cells, or even simply pointing at you after humping the pool-boy. You also get to pay for those choices, whether you want to on not, and go to jail if you lack the financial means to do so.

 

Even better, should you complain about any of this, you'll be labeled a woman hater, a deadbeat, a child abuser and a general villain and bigot, because everybody knows, real men do whatever they're told, they don't complain, and they certainly don't deserve the basic human consideration as fathers or self determined non fathers based on their own choices. And the word for this ugly state of affairs is an old ugly word.

After an extended absence, Man, Woman, Truth Radio will return to Blogtalk Radio on Monday, July 30, at 9:00 pm, Eastern Time. U.S., which is July 31 at 2:00 am in the city hosting the Olympics and July 31, at 11:00 am in Brisbane.

If you ask an opponent of the men's rights movement, or a gender ideologue - what's on offer to women from Men's Rights Activists, the answer is predictable. A return to back-to-the-kitchen, or the right to beat your wife, or subservience - or simply hatred. And as predictable and monotonous as this answer is - its also stupid, so stupid that adults repeating it really should feel shame that thier faculties of reason are so bent and broken.

 

But what if you go to the source, and ask a Man's Rights Activist what the MRM offers women?

 

It might be that the real answer is what feminism has always promised, but never ever had the intention of delivering.

What is the value of sexuality? How to we determine the social value of gender, whether male or female – and how do those coins compare to one another?

How closely tied to the energy economy of our bodies production of gamete cells is our relative sexual value as social entities? How much of the encumbrance of adornment in the form of jewelry, make up and affectation of attire is socially economical in a trade off for status? Does the ideologues of gender recognize the selective power afforded to individuals for whom gamete cells are biologically expensive? Will a coinage of human sexual worth ever be formally recognized in our courts?

This is not the sexual objectification you are accustomed to hearing of. This is not objectification of individuals as objects of desire or beauty. The true objectification of human beings occurs when we treat them as disposable utilities, use them to the point of destruction, and then discard them like store brand appliances from wall mart. Male rape victims, thrown away and refused treatment by UN aid agencies – because once they’re broken, they’re no longer men, and thus, not human. American veterans shattered by their combat experiences, returned home to be discarded. And unlike females who are objectified as items of desire or beauty, and thus protected and coveted, men objectified are discarded as actual objects, and abandoned to die. They are also invisible, and never discussed under the heading of sexual objectification.

Because the MRM is, at it's base a human rights movement, tonight on AVFM radio, John the Other, Girl Writes What, Typhon Blue, and James Huff will begin the first of a series examining morality, ethics and human rights from the point of view of philosophical first principals. Tonight, we'll begin at the ground level, and use the lens of universality to look at a few commonly accepted “truths” as well as laying down one or two elementary precepts of human morality.
