In this chapter of the bible it talks about how in the last days believers will be seduced by false doctrine and it exhorts us hold sound doctrine.

Before the children of Israel enter into the promised land Moses passes on his authority to Joshua and The Lord speaks directly to Joshua giving him an exhortation on how to lead the people of Israel.  Although these words were given to Joshua, God still speaks to us today with this passage telling us to be strong and of a good courage.

I will be talking about how there is a famine in the land for hearing the word of God as talked about in Amos 8.  This prophecy has come true because we are seeing that there is very little preaching of the word across america in a nation that once had most of its churches preaching the bible now christians have a hard time even finding a single church that preaches the word.
