2018 Gaming Predictions - Recap
- Todd - Microsoft will buy a major studio or publisher
- Trenell - Microsoft will come hard with the games this year. Many announcements for games that will have people excited for 2019
- Mountlover - Nintendo will release a new smash title and a new Mario Maker on the switch, The switch will cannibalize the 3DS' audience.
2019 Gaming Predictions
- Todd - Sony will announce the next generation PlayStation with cross-platform play as a pinnacle feature - Sony fans will act as if this was invented, initiated and spearheaded by Sony
- Trenell - Same as Todd, Microsoft will continue with modular upgrades and have a massive presence at E3 with tons of new games.
- Mountlover - 2019 will be the beginning of a new era for *Adult* games. We'll hear more and more stories about adult marketplaces, existing markets allowing adult games, and see more and more imports. Also, FFVII remake is not coming out this year. KH3 will be a disappointment, but everybody will play it anyways. More countries will adopt anti-loot box legislation, but we still probably won't see any real change in monetization practices from publishers for another few years.
- O - Were going to get way too many games in 2019 and not be able to play nearly enough of them.
