There are so many choices and decisions to make in life. We begin to ask ourselves, what are the consequences? Did I do the right thing? Sometimes we jump into making decisions without thinking or if we're unsure we don't make a decision at all. In this episode we discuss putting God first before making a decision. There are many texts in the Bible that stress the importance of being spiritually fed. Receiving the word is crucial to our existence and well-being. We discuss how the word impacts our lives and the different ways we receive the word of God.

When we fast, it is of utmost importance to fast with purpose and not do it out of habit, where it may lose its meaning. Our intention when fasting should be to have communion with God. To be closer to him. To hear his voice and gain direction in whatever matters we may be facing. Our focus when we fast should be on God, not on ourselves. We should have joy in fasting, not have long faces so that people can pity us.

The book of Leviticus in the Old Testament is chock-full of laws and regulations about how to offer sacrifices to God and how to approach the Ark of the Covenant. Today, we live under God’s grace and not under the law, but do you ever wonder if the intentions behind your offerings/sacrifices to God are aligned with His word?
