Bishop Thuston discusses how bad habits are so easy to engage in, and good habits are "seemingly" difficult to keep. What you become is what you repeatedly do, and Hosea is saying that he has run into a person who has repeatedly abandoned integrity, board without mischief and a reckless fallen creature -- his wife.
