Matthew 14:22-31; Isaiah 57:19-21; 59:19. When we turn our eyes away from Christ we experience fear but in the midst of the storm, Christ is there. Heb 13:5; Josh. 1:5. God allows the storms to come into our lives because He wants to do something through Christ in us. So, He meets us in the center of the trouble to heal the broken-hearted.
Before the storm comes (the thing that would test us) He is already interceding for us by name. If He names the stars, in much greater glory and depth of love, He calls His own by name. The storms become our opportunity to be near to Him.
