A word to fuel your journey

Today we are living in a sensual age in which enticements are everywhere, and we could respond in several ways. Will we yield quickly without a struggle, successfully fight against it, try to resist but eventually give up, or make excuses for surrendering?

God's Word is our greatest defense against the devil. It helps us discern the truth, and His promises provide the faith and strength we need to resist temptations. 

As Christians we should have some godly convictions that define who we are and determine our lifestyle and choices. 

Convictions are a firmly held belief as in the certainty that Jesus Christ the resurrected Son of God and the only way to Salvation/Eternal Life. 

A prayer for our Nation. Our President, families, law enforcement officers.

To grow spiritually from trials in our lives, we must respond as the Lord desires. Our responses to adversity reveal something about ourselves such as Our view of God, our view of ourselves, and our strengths and weaknesses. 

When we initially experience a significant loss, we plunge into depths of grief and have difficulty coming up for air. Grief leaves us feeling alone and isolated and resentful toward God for allowing your loss. 

Spiritual Growth in Adversity depends on two factors:

1. Our Understanding of God's Purpose of it.

2. Our response to adversity. 

We will experience God's all-sufficient peace when we accept ourselves the way God has made us. God's peace comes to us when we humble ourselves before Him.
