Cate lives out in the bush in Australia. That's why in my notes I refer to her as 'Cate Bush'. The nic name doesn't fit, mostly because she's much more into classic rock. Doesn't matter. Her story? After fifteen years with an abusive man they have finally broken up and she became free. Time for her third act? How Cate got her groove back, perhaps? Not so fast. The carpet got pulled out from under her yet again. It's a hard but beautiful story.

This weeks' episode hovers over a happy, a wonderful, thing but a precarious thing. Jess, a woman who's been suffering from seizures for over two decades, just had a surgery that seemingly cured, or stopped her epileptic seizures. But, it was too early to tell if the procedure really had worked. It's a bit, as i said, precarious. Will Jess's seizures return?

The backdrop to all of this is Jess's husband who has cared fro her, and she him, all this time. It's a love story so pleasant and loving that it'd make a horrible romcom because you'd have to roll credits after just five minutes. They met, they fell in love, they do fun stuff. To offset this overly cute couple, i include a short piece about my break up that happened in 2021.

Romana Rattler from Pipestone Minnesota was in a relationship with a man locked up in South Carolina for years and when he got out he said he didn't want a 'long distance relationship.' Romona, heart broken but not stupid, let the guy go. Besides, with her grandkids, troubled son, and a trailer park to manage she didn't have room for anyone that flakey anyway.
