Today's readings are from Notebook 2, numbers 817-822.

During Confession, Sister Faustina sees Christ take the place of her confessor. We know, as Catholics, that in Confession the priest is in Persona Christi-- in the Person of Christ. This got me thinking of the much heated debate about how women can't be priests in the Catholic Church. So, we are going to dive into that discussion.

Satan hates God's mercy. He will do anything to convince us that God's mercy isn't for us: We aren't worthy, our sin is too big. But, none of this is true; the only unforgiven sin is the one we refuse to bring to Christ for forgiveness. Don't ever think that your sin is greater than the mercy of Christ.

Today's readings are from Notebook 2, numbers 805-811.

Our readings are longer today, but the overall podcast is shorter. Today we get the promise from Christ that praying the chaplet at the moment of a dying person's hour, it delivers much mercy to them. What a great promise to keep in the back of our mind.

Sister Faustina's writings today are like quick diary entries. We will take time to reflect on a few of the things that are very noteworthy.

Today's readings are from Notebook 2, numbers 794-799.

Sister Faustina meditates on Mary and Joseph's journey from Nazareth to Bethlehem. Her reflection got me thinking about just how strong and courageous Mary was/is. She is such a strong woman and she dealt with so much as the Mother of God, yet she did it will strength and courage. She is such a great example for us and she can always be a source of strength for us when we feel weak or scared.

Today's readings are from Notebook 2, numbers 787-793.

Sister Faustina is on a one day retreat and she's just kind of writing down different musings that come to her mind. I take this time to look at myself and see how well I'm doing with the areas she wants to get better in: Listening better, being patient, not worrying with others judge us, suffering without drawing attention.

Today's readings are from Notebook 2, numbers 782-786.

As we know, Sister Faustina talks a lot about suffering for God and how it is a way to show love. This was an emotional reading today because it caused me to reflect on the suffering I've had being kept from Mass through lockdowns. But, recently, I found out daily Mass is available and I got to go. It's been glorious.

Heaven is about worship of the Almighty for eternity. It is the full union with God and basking in all happiness and glory. There is a tendency, though, of thinking of Heaven as only a place where we will be reunited with our loved ones. While this will be wonderful, too often, we forget that the point of Heaven is to be united with God.

What if you could gain a greater capacity for happiness and knowledge in Heaven? What if that meant you needed to do the hard work to have a relationship with God here on Earth? Would you do all that you could to be rewarded with a greater capacity for happiness? God gives us graces and we must respond to it and allow those graces to help us grow closer to God. The closer we grow to God here on Earth; the closer we will be in Heaven.

Have you found a kindred spirit in Christ? Sister Faustina talks today about how God gives grace to kindred spirits that are united to God. They easily recognize each other. I talk about how connected I felt to other Catholics when I was at the World Meeting of Families.
