21 Days of Prayer

There is only one place to find true peace producing, joy-fulfilling, and heart-resting love. Our longing for love is truly a longing for God and only His love will ever satisfy the longing of our hearts. Only His love produces the rest, hope and courage in us that then ignites our desire and ability to love others. Only his love can rescue us, restore us, and rebuild us. From cover to cover, the Bible teaches of this love. It takes the whole Bible to tell this Story, and at the center of it all, there is baby. Emmanuel, God with us.

A joy that shines in darkness. A joy that withstands the heat of fire. This is the joy we have been looking for. This is the joy promised to us by God. This is the joy available to us in God’s Kingdom through the person of Jesus Christ. 

We look ahead, today, to that glorious day when the One who not only promises peace, but is Himself perfect peace, comes to Earth, not in the form of an innocent baby, but in the from of a triumphant King.

For many people, hope is merely a wish that things will magically get better. That disease and disappointment will disappear. That relationship will be restored, and things will be made right again. For the people of God, HOPE is more than just a desire or a distant dream. It is the confident expectation that God Himself will return to his beloved and make all things new.
