The defense took advantage of a weak Jets offensive line and 3rd string QB Luke Falk having to start, tallying 10 sacks on the day along with 2 defensive touchdowns. The Philadelphia Phillies finished the 2019 season with a record of 81 – 81, bringing Gabe Kapler’s two-year managerial record to 161 – 163. The Phils finished in 3rd place last year after leading the division as late as August 11. Kapler’s squad finished in 4th place this year after leading the division for 76 days and remaining in the NL wild-card race until mid-September.
