There’s a line in the iconic 1988 baseball comedy “Bull Durham” that, perhaps, could not be more fitting for the Phillies this week – “what we need is a rainout.” After dropping two out of three, in mostly disastrous fashion, to the Braves in Atlanta over the weekend, the first two games of the Phils’ series against the Nationals in DC were rained out. The Phillies and Nationals will play a day-night doubleheader on Wednesday to make up one of the two games with the second game being postponed until September. Join Tom, Mike and Greg as they react to the results of Wednesday’s two contests in the nation’s capital and dive into what, or who, the Phillies need to right the ship for the remainder of the season.
