The NFL regular season is under two weeks away and there has been a lot of hype around the new players on different teams. Philadelphia Eagles rookie, Jalen Carter, has been making headlines for his strong start at training camp. Does he have what it takes to win DPOY? The Philadelphia Phillies saw another string of victories at home this week. Starting out the week against former manager Gabe Kapler and his San Francisco Giants, the Phillies were dominant on offense. Throughout the 3 game series, the Phillies put up 20 runs and won two games which secured them the series win. Later in the week, the St. Louis Cardinals were reminded why this team was in the World Series last year. The Cardinals didn’t stand a chance as the Phillies put up a combined 22 runs over the span of 3 games while St Louis only managed to bring 3 runners across home plate. With that sweep, the Phillies would end the week at 5-1, and 7-3 in their last 10. Can this momentum continue as a new week of MLB action continues inside Citizens Bank Park? Last week, Los Angeles Angels superstar pitcher Shohei Ohtani was revealed to have a torn UCL which has brought his incredible pitching season to an abrupt end. However, his MLB season continues as he will take the Angels designated hitter spot. Former Philadelphia Phillies pitcher Mitch Williams, joined by Tom Arnone, and Michael Chromiak, breaks down this injury, if it will need a second Tommy John surgery and what is Ohtani’s future with the Angels? Tonight along with the WWE, AEW and the rest of the professional wrestling world we mourn the sudden passing of former WWE Champion and 3rd generation superstar, Windham Rotunda, better known as Bray Wyatt. As the patriarch of the Wyatt Family, Bray would take the WWE Universe by storm when he came on the scene in 2009 alongside Eric Rowan and Luke Harper (aka Brodie Lee). Wyatt and his family would tear through superstar after superstar including an incredible story with John Cena which saw the introduction of Braun Strowman. Throughout the years Wyatt would go on to have memorable story after memorable story with the likes of Daniel Bryan, John Cena, Randy Orton, Alexa Bliss and countless others. Wyatt was able to reinvent himself a few times over the years as “The Fiend” and most recently “Uncle Howdy”. Joined by Michael Chromiak, our panel takes a look back at the life and career of one of the greatest minds of the modern era. Earlier in the week, the professional wrestling world also lost WWE Hall of Famer and hardcore icon Terry Funk. Funk passed away Wednesday at the age of 79. Funk wrestled everywhere from WWF, WCW, NWA/TNA and ECW. Funk was an innovator of the hardcore style we have come to know and love today. Whether he was wrestling as Chainsaw Charley or just as Terry Funk, his rivalries and partnerships with Mick Foley through the years are things of legend. Rounding out the show tonight, we take a trip across the pond to get ready for AEW All In. All In takes place this Sunday at Wembley Stadium in London England in front of over an estimated 80,000 +. AEW World Champion MJF puts his title on the line alongside his tag team partner Adam Cole. Billy Gunn plans to bring back a “Bad Ass” when along with The Acclaimed look to take the AEW World Trios Championships from House of Black. Will Ospreay steps inside an AEW ring once again, this time to take on Chris Jericho. FTR (Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler) are set to defend their AEW World Tag Team Championships against The Young Bucks (Matt and Nick Jackson). The Philadelphia Eagles wrap up the 2023 NFL Preseason tonight against the Indianapolis Colts. Many still hope they will end up on the final 53-man roster. The Indianapolis Colts were in town hoping to have joint practices, but following a bench-clearing altercation, that was a thing of the past. The depth chart and final roster have been up in the air following a series of injuries. On today’s episode Paul Domowitch, formerly of the Philadelphia Inquirer, will be joined by former Philadelphia Eagles head coach Dick Vermeil. The two will talk about Vermeil’s early career as a head coach in the high school level (which also included a run as a swim coach), up to his tenure with the Philadelphia Eagles from 1976-82 which included a trip to Super Bowl XV. Vermeil was out of the coaching spotlight for 15 years before returning to the league with the St. Louis Rams from 1997-99, and again with the Kansas City Chiefs from 2001-2005. Vermeil, since then, punched his ticket to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2022 and is the current owner of Vermeil Wines, a winery and vineyard in Napa, California. He also keeps in touch with his former players. The two will then discuss the current happenings with the Philadelphia Eagles as training camp and preseason wraps up this week before the Eagles take on the Indianapolis Colts. Paul would also like to get Coach Vermeil’s thoughts on quarterback Jalen Hurts, head coach Nick Sirianni, and whether or not the Eagles can get back to the Super Bowl.

The time has come to discuss the NHL’s Pacific Division. Leading off our Pacific breakdown are the defending Stanley Cup Champion, Vegas Golden Knights. This franchise has come into the NHL with a bang being the second team to ever get to the Stanley Cup Finals in their inaugural season. The Knights were not very active this offseason. They are currently more than four million dollars over the salary cap, which means they will have to find ways to get some cap relief before the season starts. The question for the Knights heading into this season is who will be the starting goaltender? We asked this question last year, too, with no Robin Lenher to possibly start the year again. This team found ways to prevail last season despite some pretty major injuries and found a way to win the Cup. Do the Knights have enough magic left to repeat? The Los Angeles Kings are an intriguing team this year. This team kind of came out of nowhere two years ago and found themselves back in the NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs. This franchise has a lot of young talent, but they also have their fair share of veteran leadership in guys like Anze Kopitar and Drew Doughty. They were another team that wasn't overly active in free agency, but they have a lot of young, key pieces already in place. They spent this offseason filling only a couple holes they had. They were able to re-sign their big trade deadline acquisition Vladislav Gabrikov, who they landed from the Columbus Blue Jackets. Also, the Kings were able to acquire via trade and sign Pierre Luc Dubois from the Winnipeg Jets just before the NHL Draft. He signed a long-term deal to play in LA for the next eight years. The only real question the Kings have, just like Vegas, is their goaltending. Will it hold up? They had some issues with finding consistency there early in the season before letting Pheonix Copley take the reins. They also brought in Cam Talbot in net to help solidify the position. How deep of a run can the Kings make in the 2023/2024 season? The Anaheim Ducks look to continue their rebuild and make some progress as they head into the 2023/2024 season. They are coming off a season where they finished dead last in the NHL and landed the second overall pick in the NHL Draft Lottery. Ducks GM Pat Verbeek has left a few people scratching their heads, taking center Leo Carlsson with that pick over Adam Fantilli. The Ducks are fairly active this offseason, having the most cash to spend in free agency. Two of the names they brought in were defenseman Radko Gudas and Stanley Cup Champion winger Alex Killorn. Both guys bring a lot of leadership and experience to a young locker room that could benefit from having two players who have either been to or won a Stanley Cup to really get this team going. Goaltender John Gibson has expressed an interest in being traded; this will be an interesting storyline to keep an eye moving throughout the season. On a fun note, the Ducks Franchise will be celebrating its 30th Anniversary this season. What a nice way to celebrate their 30th by making their way back to the NHL Playoffs.
