Nick Castellanos and Craig Kimbrel will represent the Phillies this year in Seattle at the All Star Game. The annual MLB Draft will take place Sunday night to kick off the festivities of the All Star Game, the Phillies have the 27th overall pick in tonight’s First Round. Join Thomas, Nick, Brian, and Greg as they look back at what should be a great 4-2 road trip through Florida for the Phillies. The Philadelphia Phillies will make the playoffs. After sweeping the Rays and rallying in the opening game on Friday to steal a win, the Phillies lost the series to the Marlins losing 2 out of 3 games. Aaron Nola’s consistency issues continue to rear its ugly head this year. Nola shut down the Rays on Tuesday with 12 strikeouts over 7 ⅓ innings then on Sunday gave up 4 earned runs, and 3 home runs, through 6 innings against the Marlins. The guys will react to the MLB Draft that is happening also on Sunday night, and hopefully get the Phillies pick live on the show. The Phillies will draft at the end of Round 1 thanks to a great season last year ending of course losing the World Series to the Houston Astros. The guys will end the show as they always do with their Crumb of the Week segment.

The Philadelphia Eagles have one small piece to put in place before camp begins and that is their 4th rd draft pick from Georgia, Kelee Ringo. These days you don't hear about rookie holdouts that often. The last major rookie holdout was Joey Bosa back in 2016 but he was the number 3 overall pick, not a 4th rounder. Is Howie Roseman looking for one more addition before he signs the rookie? Only time will tell. During the week, the NFL blamed both the Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs for the slippery field conditions during Super Bowl LVII. It was an unusual stance for the league as both teams’ pass rush was neutralized due to the conditions. Do you buy the NFL’s stance on this issue? In other Eagles-related news, Devon Allen claims he is one of the fastest receivers in the league, even faster than Tyreek Hill of the Miami Dolphins. Can he get it all together and make the final roster to put those claims to the test? Jordan Mailata is now a married man! A video of him singing at his own wedding has made the rounds. Former Philadelphia Eagles players Irving Fryar and Hollis Thomas will talk about who they believe to be good players inducted in the Pro Football Hall of Fame. What really defines a player that separates them from the greats from the good? Which players do you think fit the mold as a good, not great player who ended up in the Hall of Fame? Joining Les Bowen today is Paul Domowitch, Les’s former Philadelphia Eagles coverage tag-team partner with the Philadelphia Daily News and the Philadelphia Inquirer. Domo writes these days for The 33rd Team, which this week produced a project assessing the Hall of Fame chances of some current players, and Domo wrote about the Eagles with the best HOF cases. Domo is the lone Hall of Fame voter for Philadelphia, so his thoughts are extremely relevant. One player who will be in consideration once he is eligible, is right tackle Lane Johnson. Is Johnson deserving of being in the Hall of Fame? Les also wants to talk to Domo about Paul’s upcoming A2D Radio show, which launches in a few weeks. Les thinks Domo Nation would be a fine show name, but Paul might have other ideas. Most fans have very little idea how Hall Of Fame selection really works, so we’re going to go into that, what all it takes to get a player into one of those yellow sport coats. Domo also wrote recently about how NIL and the transfer portal might push college coaches toward the NFL — but the NFL has learned to be a bit leery of some of those guys. Around here, that subject usually includes mention of Chip Kelly, who apparently remains on DeSean Jackson’s mind, a decade after they parted ways. Last week Les introduced but didn’t really get to discuss the topic of which Eagles rookie might have the biggest impact. Camp is now less than three weeks away, so he hopes to cover that this time around.

The NHL Draft took place last week and the Philadelphia Flyers picked up some talent. The Orange and Black were able to take Matvei Michkov and Oliver Bonk in the 1st round and then Carson Bjarnason, Yegor Zavragin, Denver Barkey, Cole Knuble, Alex Ciernik, Carter Sotheran, Ryan MacPherson, Matteo Mann throughout the rest of the draft. The Philadelphia Phillies started the week off hot as they swept the Chicago Cubs, who were returning from their games in London, UK. Despite scoring 19 runs on Saturday, the Phillies ended the week disastrously by losing the series to the Washington Nationals. Once again the Phillies struggled with runners in scoring position in the two losses to the Nats, going 1-8 in both Friday and Sunday’s loss. Nick Castellanos has been named as a National League reserve and the Phillies lone representative for the upcoming All Star Game in Seattle. Was Nick Castellanos the only worthy player to be the Phillies All Star representative this year? Nick has put the struggles of last year behind him and has been the Phillies' best and most consistent offensive player so far this year. This is the Nick Castellanos the Phillies and Phillies fans are glad to see after the struggle of last year. Hopefully, Nick can get some help offensively and this team can continue to play well. Moving on from the Cubs and Nationals, the guys take a look ahead to the upcoming week's schedule which includes 6 games on the road starting in Tampa Bay and Miami. This will be a tough stretch for the Phillies but if they end it well they can make up some ground with the Marlins in the NL East standings. Starting the week off against one of the best teams in baseball in the Tampa Bay Rays, and old friend Zach Eflin in Monday’s game. Then the Phillies travel to their house of horrors and take on the Marlins. The Marlins are 3 games ahead of the Phillies in the NL East standings and 1.5 games ahead of them for the Wild Card spot. The Marlins have been playing very well recently which has made it hard for the Phillies to make up ground with their good playing.

The Usos did it! Roman Reigns was pinned! The Usos won the Bloodline Civil War at WWE’s Money In The Bank! After a grueling back and forth match, Jimmy and Jey Uso survived Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa’s assault and came out on top in the Bloodline Civil War. The Usos would take down their cousin using multiple superkicks and the final nail in the coffin would come from Jey hitting the big splash off the top for the 1-2-3! What is next for the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns? Have we witnessed the start of Roman’s fall from the mountain top? Also at Money In The Bank, Iyo Sky won her Money In The Bank Ladder match to become the new Mrs Money In The Bank and have the opportunity to cash in on any champion, anytime, anywhere for the next year! Iyo Sky managed to turn the tables on her Damage Ctrl teammate, Bayley when she handcuffed her to Becky Lynch as she climbed over her to score the win. Zoey Stark, Trish Stratus, and Zelina Vega all put up an incredible fight but the genius of the sky would still come out on top! On the Men’s side, Damian Priest overcame the obstacles of LA Knight, Logan Paul, Ricochet, Shinsuke Nakamura, Santos Escobar, and Butch to become Mr. Money In The Bank. Later he would come out during the WWE World Heavyweight Championship match between the champion Seth “Freakin” Rollins and Finn Balor. His presence there would cause a distraction for Finn and Seth would capitalize taking the victory. Money In The Bank would also see “The American Nightmare” Cody Rhodes take down Dominik Mysterio even though Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley would be at ringside. Shayna Baszler would turn on Ronda Rousey giving Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriquez the opportunity to regain the Unified WWE Tag Team Championships. Gunther successfully defended his Intercontinental Championship against Matt Riddle but then was greeted by a returning Drew McIntyre! John Cena also made a surprise return to hype up the London crowd for a potential WrestleMania in London!
