A lot can be said about rules in a marriage. What works for some may be the downfall of others. It may be naive to say there aren’t any rules. Of course there’s rules! But who makes them?
Society has its own interpretation of what’s wrong or right in a relationship. Social media to be specific. And of course that’s the biggest mouth of society. On any given day, there’s a plethora of memes that are being double tapped, screenshot, shared, reposted and saved. But at some point, social media has to be excused from jury duty and put in its place. Out of other peoples’ business.
The real opinions that matter are those bound to one another. In an era of throuples, entanglements and polyamory, the rules are all fake. Do you and live with the decisions you make.
There are some rules that are left up in the air. With the recent attempted murder of Ralph Yarl, the conversation regarding gun control continues to evolve. In a world where young black men are skit at alarming numbers, it becomes a terrifying thought to have to worry about losing your life if you potentially knock on the wrong door.
